Journey to China: On the Living Path of Taoist Tradition

During the 2024 All Saints' holiday, four instructors from the Wudang Pai Auvergne club had the honour and joy of travelling to China, right into the spiritual cradle of Taoist internal arts. Their journey led them to the temple of Nan Wudang, where they were warmly welcomed by Master You Lizong (15th generation) and Grandmaster You Xuande (14th generation) of the Wudang Xuanwu Pai lineage.

Brotherhood in the Sacred Mountains

From the moment they arrived, our instructors were welcomed as true brothers by the Taoist community of Wudang. This deep and respectful bond allowed a rare immersion into temple life and practice. Thanks to the generosity of the masters, they gained access to sacred places usually closed to the public.

A Unique Spiritual and Human Experience

A major highlight of the trip was the opportunity to witness Taoist ceremonies conducted by Grandmaster You Xuande himself, offering a profound glimpse into the sacred dimension of the practice.
The French teachers also received teachings from Masters Zhou Lican and You Weiqing (15th and 16th generations). Meanwhile, disciples from the French 16th generation had the exceptional privilege of learning directly from Master You Lizong and Grandmaster You Xuande.

A Living Transmission for Future Generations

This journey left a deep mark on all participants. They returned filled with gratitude, inspiration, and awe, bringing back a living teaching they are now committed to passing on to students in France. More than just a trip, it is a renewed spiritual bridge between China and France, and a precious step in preserving the Wudang tradition for generations to come.
